3M™ Novec 1230 Fire Protection Fluid is a smarter, faster, safe, sustainable and cost-effective alternative to CO₂ flooding systems for panels.

• Novec 1230 fluid extinguishes a fire before it starts by rapidly removing heat. In a typical total flooding system, the fluid is stored as a liquid in cylinders pressurized with nitrogen. Automatic detection sensors trigger release when the fire is at the incipient stage, extinguishing it in mere seconds.
• Helps protect irreplaceable paper documents, electrical equipment and electronics.
• Novec 1230 fluid is a waterless fire suppression solution, it leaves no residue and is electrically non-conductive.

• Novec 1230 provides the highest margin of safety for human occupancy of any clean agent solution whereas CO₂ is lethal at Design Concentration.

• Is stored as a liquid and discharged as a gas. It is appropriate for Class A, B and C fire hazards.
• Novec 1230 fluid evaporates 50 times faster than water. In fact, you could soak a paperback book in a bath of Novec 1230 fluid and within a minute, pick it up and read where you left off.

3M™ FireDam 2000 Coating

In the presence of heat or fire, the 3M™ FireDam™ 2000 Coating intumesces (expands) up to 10 times, forming an insulating char which significantly slows any heat transfer.

3M™ FireDam™ 2000 Coating can be brush, trowel or spray applied to a variety of surfaces INCLUDING WALLS AND CABLES.

3M™ Interam™ Endothermic Mat

3M™ Interam™ Endothermic Mat E-5A-4 chemically absorbs heat. It releases chemically bound water that cools the outer surface of the mat when exposed to extreme heat.

This helps decelerates temperature rise and slows heat transfer even during intense fires. Developed to provide up to 4-hour fire protection for structural steel applications in accordance with ASTM E 119, up to 3 hour fire protection for electrical circuit applications in accordance with ASTM E 1725 and, when applied to the rear and sides of metallic utility boxes, this endothermic mat helps achieve an equal F-rating and T-Rating in membrane penetrations of rated wall assemblies. It also protects against large hydrocarbon pool fires in accordance with ASTM E 1529 (UL 1709).

3M™ Fire Barrier Moldable Putty Stix MP+

This is a one-part, re-enterable, intumescent that can be easily formed to firestop through penetrations in fire-rated assemblies. This dark red, moldable putty stix is developed to provide up to 4 hours of fire protection.

This firestop material is designed for excellent adhesion to almost all construction substrates and is non-corrosive when applied to metal surfaces. These sticks are extremely simple and cost-effective to install.

3M™ Fire Barrier Mortar

3M™ Fire Barrier Mortar is a lightweight, gypsum based that mixes with water to form a heat-absorbing firestop for through penetrations in fire-rated floor or wall assemblies. It acts as a heat sink and reduces the chance of fire on unexposed sides of the assembly

• Ready to mix mortar is ideal for firestopping large spaces and floors
